Sexual Harassment Awareness Requirement
This course includes the mandatory 1-hour Sexual Harassment Awareness training, required by the IDFPR for all licensees every renewal cycle since 2020.
Domestic Violence Awareness Requirement
The IDFPR also requires a separate Domestic Violence Awareness course for some professions. Here is a list of IDFPR approved providers for this course.
Total CE Requirements
Estheticians, Nail Technicians, and Hair Braiders must complete a total of 10 CE hours each renewal cycle.
This course covers the 5 hours that can be completed online.
You still need 5 hours of instructor-led or classroom CE to meet your full renewal requirement.

- Estheticians: September 30, 2025
- Nail Technicians & Hair Braiders: October 30, 2025
Are There Any Exemptions?
As of 2017, there are no exemptions for:
- First-time renewals
- Those over age 62
- Licensees practicing over 25 years
COVID-related CE exemptions have also expired. Only extreme hardship or active military service may qualify for a waiver.
